Whitney has extensive experience both in space marketing and space policy. Her previous roles include: Resident Advisor for the Human Space Exploration Initiative (HSEI) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS); Research Fellow at George Washington University’s Space Policy Institute in the Elliott School of International Affairs; VP of Business Development and China Chief Representative at SpaceDev, Inc.; and Director of China Business Development at Lockheed Martin Global.
Whitney earned her Master of Space Studies (MSS) - with concentrations in space marketing and space policy – from the International Space University (ISU). She earned her Bachelor of laws from Renmin University of China. She also earned an Advanced Graduate Public Policy Certificate from Georgetown University.
Whitney is a member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL). She has written exclusive papers for Boeing Company on China Human Space Program, etc. Her papers have been presented at the International Astronautical Congress, meetings of the International Astronautical Federation, and the National Space Society. Whitney has been quoted by the Associated Press, Voice of America, The Economic Observer and multiple other media outlets.
